An Ode to My Father Robert S. Brayman

By E. Brayman

My father was a man with many parts but to me, he was more than just my dad, he was my best friend. He meant so much to so many people from so many different walks of life. Some knew him as a brother, an uncle, a friend, a coach, a co-worker, or maybe just an acquaintance. Regardless of how you knew him, there was no mistaking what kind of man he was – a truly great one.

He was a man that always made you feel like family from the very first handshake or hug. He had a huge personality and was absolutely adored by all that knew and loved him. He was larger than life, pouring passion and energy into everything he did.

My Father had many passions in life that he loved to share with others. His most beloved passion was guitars and singing, which many of you have enjoyed. He loved riding his motorcycle, camping, sports, music, hunting and fishing... the list is quite possibly endless. Above all, he was a family man first. No matter how much he loved to his hobbies, he always put his family’s needs first. He was a wonderful husband to my mother, Tina. An incredible father to my sisters, Jamie, Stephanie, and I. A papa who was adored by his 4 grandchildren, BreeAnn, Aiden, Jaiden and Jaxon. As an amazing brother to his five siblings, they looked up to and relied on him just as much as we did. He also had a plethora of nieces and nephews who saw him as a vital part of their lives and support
systems, almost as if they were his own children. That is exactly who he was - a family man through and through.

There was nothing more important to Bob Brayman than loving and supporting his family and friends. He always made sure that they knew, felt, and understood his love for each and every one of us.

My dad leaves behind a big hole in this world, as well as in all our hearts. However I am grateful that he also left behind all his love, knowledge, and skills necessary for us to come together and help each other through this difficult time. We love you “Pops”!
