Obituary of Shelly Lynn Nowak

December 24, 1965 – November 25, 2020

 

Shelly L. Nowak. 54 of Brownstown.

 

On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, Shelly Nowak, a loving wife, and mother of three children passed away at age 54 after battling cancer.

 

Shelly was born on December 24, 1965 in Garden City, MI to Evangeline Bonner. On April 5, 1991, she married Alan Nowak. They raised three children, Brittanie, Adam, and Scott.

 

Shelly loved the sunshine and the pool. She also enjoyed shopping and staying up to date with the latest styles, fashions, and trends. Her family was her world and in her final months, she was lovingly surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. She was known for her wit and her kind and generous spirit.

 

She is predeceased by her mother, Evangeline Bonner, and sister, Pamela Lemus. She is survived by her husband, Alan Nowak, her sisters, Denise (Willard) Sheesley and Ruth (Barry) Inman, and her brother-in-law Robert Lemus, her children Brittanie (Jacob) Nowak, Rev. Fr. Adam Nowak, and Scott (Madison) Nowak, as well as granddaughters, Addisyn, Paityn, Olivia, and Harper.

 

Visitation will be held at Molnar Funeral Home (Brownstown Chapel), 23700 West Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48183, on Sunday, November 29, from 3 – 8 p.m, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Shelly will lie in repose on Monday morning, November 30, from 9:30 a.m. until the celebration of her funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 9000 Laurence Ave., Allen Park, MI 48101.

 

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Cyprian Food Pantry, 13249 Pennsylvania Rd., Riverview, MI 48193.

 

In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Orders - The Molnar Funeral Homes is following and observing the 25 person cap on funeral attendance at one time. We are also practicing social distancing and masks are required for every person entering the building. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
